New Years Honours

The latest New Years Honours list has just been published.  The tradition dates back to around 1890 and aims to recognise people who have made some kind of achievement in public life or have committed themselves to making life better for others.

In this blog we take a look back at 2017 and feature some of our favourite bathroom products from the year; the products that would be on our Stone and Chrome New Years Honours list if we were to produce one!   All of the products below have featured on our Twitter feed @StoneAndChrome throughout the year:

Baths

There are so many to choose from!   But here are three of our favourites from the year.

The Sontuoso Clearwater bath.  This is a stunning and luxurious bath.  Its sleek and smooth design is comprised of one piece and is made entirely from natural stone!

The Britton Bathroom Verde double ended bath.  In this image it is partnered perfectly with a Laufen Bathrooms Palomba back to wall WC and Bathroom Brands digital shower.

The AB Britain Aegean Platinum Bath.  We’re sure you’ll agree that this would become a beautiful centrepiece of any bathroom!

Showers, Basins and Toilets

We love all of these products!  Pictured below is the Merlyn Showering 8 Series Offset Enclosure paired with Truestone Offset Shower Tray and Tres Digital Shower Set.    Then beneath that is the lovely Acquabella On Top Circle Basin.  Smooth on the inside and textured on the outside, the image shows it in Slate but it is also available in other colours.  Finally how about this rather amazing Catalano UK Sfera back to wall WC, available in five other colours.

Units

We have worked with so many wonderful units this year that it is very hard to narrow it down to just a few.   But here are three that we particularly like:

Here we have the VitrA UK Sento Washbasin Unit.  It has two drawers and a double washbasin.  The image below shows it in Matte Anthracite but we also have a version in Matte Cream on display in our Camberley showroom.

For a total contrast how about this Burlington Baths Freestanding Matt White Vanity Unit.    It has plenty of storage space and features a Minerva Carrara white worktop with integrated white basin.  It would look equally good in a contemporary or more traditional bathroom.

We also just had to include this one from Stonearth.  This Finesse Tall 1500 Oak Vanity is perfect for those who want his and hers basins: and separate storage space!   It is available in a variety of sizes and also comes in walnut.  Perfect!

Tiles

No matter how wonderful your bathroom furniture is, your bathroom will not look its best unless it is finished off in a quality way.  At Stone and Chrome we love natural products but do not fall into the trap of thinking that they have to be plain.  For those of you who prefer a more striking design then have a look at the two examples below.   The top two photographs indicate some of the designs that are available in stone and porcelain, whilst the bathroom image underneath features Ted Baker tiles with Roper Rhodes Hampton furniture and a Burlington Baths Semi-Recessed basin and back to wall WC.

We think that all of the above products deserve their place on our New Years Honours list and hope that you agree.  You can also see our Youtube review of the year here.

We are also looking forward with anticipation to 2018 and wonder which products we will be featuring this time next year!

To find out more about any of the products featured here – and to see many more wonderful bathroom and wetroom products first hand – why not visit our Camberley showroom?

All of us at Stone and Chrome wish you a very happy and successful year in 2018.
