Black Friday – Black Bathrooms

Today as we keep hearing is Black Friday!   But what exactly is it?   Black Friday is the day immediately after Thanksgiving in the United States.  It marks the start of the Christmas shopping season and there are many special deals to be had.  Much like the January sales but before Christmas not after! Businesses participating in Black Friday hope to see their bank balances in the black for the rest of the year as a result of all the sales they make on Black Friday!

So to mark the occasion we thought we’d look at three different ways that you can use black effectively in your bathroom!   Just for a bit of Black Friday fun, see if you can spot the link between the three titles!

Back to Black bathroom

We just love this stAll blackunning bathroom which proves that small can be beautiful!   This is an en-suite bathroom with a difference.  As you can see from the image on the left it has three distinct features.  On the top left you can see the luxurious walk in wetroom area, with built in heated seating.  Next to it the very stylish yet practical Laufen ILBAGNOALESSI One Basin with its elegantly tapered design.  Last but not least, the WC is wall hung – which is bound to become a talking point!

The whole bathroom is tiled in our premium black calibrated riven slate for a dramatic yet welcoming effect.   See here for more images of this all black bathroom.

 Painted Black bathroom

black walls

If you don’t want your bathroom completely black but still want the sophisticated edgy effect that black can bring, then why not contrast dark painted walls with bathroom features in lighter colours?   The walls of the luxury family bathroom pictured on the right are actually painted in Farrow and Ball Studio Green and beuatifully convey the impact of mixing dark and light colours.   The warm neutral tiling in this bathroom is Premium Marine Fossil Limestone.

This timeless bathroom has two special features.   The top image  shows a Stonearth Finesse Oak vanity unit from Stonearth topped by a Tundra Grey solid stone surface and undermount basin.   The two images beneath that show a premium Classic Duo Oval super steel enamel bath by German company Kaldewei.  This gorgeous bath is enhanced by a bath system from our Palermo Bagno range, with deck mounted controls.

Black Water bathroom

A very clever and minimalist way to feature black in your bathroom, without it dominating, is to select one item of bathroom furniture and make that the stand out feature of the bathroom.   In the example shown below it is the bathroom basin that is black.  This contrasts dramatically with the rest of the bathroom which is completely tiled in silver limestone, apart from a stunning feature wall that uses quartz decopanel.

Additional interest is created by a stud wall that separates the shower area and provides mounting for the wall hung WC.   The entire effect is enhanced by LED accent lighting which sets off the contrasting colour scheme to perfection.
